Overview

The new XL-21 power box is widely used in power plants and industry for power or lighting distribution on three-phase three/four/five-wire systems below 500 V. Indoor wall-mounted with front operation and maintenance, the fully enclosed body is assembled from C- or 8MF-profiles. Inside, a new rotary load-isolating switch permits on-load operation; the front door carries volt/ammeter, signal lamps, push-buttons and change-over switches. Self-developed components make it compact, handsome and easy to maintain — the ideal successor to the legacy XL-21.

Commissioning checklist

On arrival check the packing; store unmounted units per the normal-service rules; foundation channel and bolts are user-supplied
Before energising: verify paint film intact and interior dry & clean; confirm reliable make/break of main apparatus and auxiliary contacts; check component selection and wiring against drawings
Insulation ≥ 1 MΩ with a 500 V megger (disconnect voltage-sensitive electronics first)
Maintain air breakers regularly per their manuals — repeated switching erodes contacts and raises contact resistance

RH ≤ 50 % at +40 °C (e.g. 90 % at +20 °C, moderate condensation allowed)
